It is a historical tale about Alluri Sitarama Raju (RamCharan) and Komaram Bheem, two real-life Indian rebels (Jr. NTR). They fight against the British Empire.

2. Uri – The Surgical Strike (2019)

One of the best movies to watch on Republic Day is without a doubt “URI: The Surgical Strike,” starring Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam.

6. The Ghazi Attack (2017)

India’s first underwater movie attempted to reenact a submarine battle between the INS Vikrant and Pakistan’s Ghazi, who defeated Pakistan against all the odds.

The mysterious sinking of the PNS Ghazi in 1971 during the Indo-Pakistani War served as the basis for the fictional film Ghazi. 

The narrative centers on an Indian Navy submarine, an executive naval officer, and his team who spent 18 days submerged. 

It tells the real story of the bravery of the crew onboard the Indian submarine INS Karanj (S21), which sank the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi as it entered Indian waters to sabotage INS Vikrant off the coast of Visakhapatnam.

7. Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran (2018)

The plot of Parmanu is based on the nuclear bomb tests that the Indian Army performed at Pokhran in 1998 while Atal Vihari Vajpayee was in power, under the supervision of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. 

Based on true events, the film features John Abrahim in the starring role. The music in the movie is amazing, and the movie has stunning cinematography that captures you right away.

8. Kesari (2019)

Anurag Singh’s written and directed film Kesari was one of the most successful of the year. The film featured Akshay Kumar.

The Battle of Saragarhi, in which an army of 21 Sikhs headed by their leader Havaldar Ishar Singh battled against 10,000 Afghans in 1897, is the subject for the film.

9. Baby (2015)

The espionage action thriller movie Baby was written and directed by Neeraj Pandey in 2015 and is in the Hindi language.

Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files film presents the real incidents around the 1990s abduction (exodus) and genocide of Kashmiri Hindus from Indian-administered Kashmir.

The film is based on the real incidents when some Muslim communities had driven Kashmiri Pandits out of Kashmir in their own country. They forced, tortured & murdered Pandits. But all these real events were suppressed by a conspiracy of silence.

12. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022)

R. Madhavan makes his directorial debut in 2022 with the Indian biographical drama film “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect,” which he also wrote, produced, and directed. 

The movie is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, an ISRO scientist who was accused of spying and then exonerated, and who is portrayed by Madhavan. Later he has proven as a true patriotic scientist.

13. Aiyaari (2018)

Neeraj Pandey wrote and directed the action-thriller movie Aiyaary, which was released in 2018 in India. The plot of the movie revolves around the relationship between a colonel and his protege.

The relationship is harmed when the latter loses faith after overhearing a conversation and flees with confidential information about his clandestine organization, forcing the colonel to hunt him down in a hurry.

14. Mission Mangal (2019)
