Pakistani Minister Who Mocked ISRO, Now Praises Chandrayaan-3

What made Pakistani Ex-Minister Fawad Chaudhry so intelligent suddenly? The person who couldn’t understand the lunar mission, now calling it a ‘historic moment’.

Former Pakistani minister Fawad Hussain is the same person who had mocked India during the last Chandrayaan-2 mission in 2019. He had said,

  • “Itne papad belne ki zaroorat nahi hai.”

(There is no need for so much effort for any Lunar mission.)

  • “Chaand jo hai najar aa jata hai, exactly uski location pata hoti hai…kis territory me uska kya altitude hoga?”

(The moon is visible, its location and its altitude in a territory is already known.)

  • “₹900 crore rupaye barbad kar diye. Bhai, hamne kaha tha 900 crore lagao, in nalayakon par..”

(India’s unworthy scientists wasted ₹900 crore.)

When the Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram Lander lost communication he used the hashtag “#IndiaFailed” in a tweet. Now it’s very surprising what made him change.

The very same Ex-Pakistani minister Fawad Hussain, who once mocked India’s space efforts, has now praised India’s Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission, calling it a “historic moment for humankind.” He congratulated India’s scientists and space community on the mission.

This change in stance came after Fawad Chaudhry appeared to make fun of India’s moon missions in a video that circulated on social media. He had previously criticized India for spending money on its space missions.

Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar mission, is set to perform a soft landing on the moon’s south pole. The landing is scheduled for 6:04 pm local time.

If successful, India will become the world’s first country to touch the south pole of the Moon. Additionally, India will be the top 4 country to achieve a soft landing on the moon, after the United States, Russia, and China.

Fawad Chaudhry urged Pakistani media to broadcast the Chandrayaan-3 moon landing live at 6:15 pm local time, acknowledging the significance of this achievement for India and the global space community.

He emphasized that this was a proud moment not only for India but also for humanity and science.

Chandrayaan-3’s mission is to continue India’s exploration of the moon. The Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched on July 14, using a powerful rocket called Launch Vehicle Mark-III (LVM-3).

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will provide live coverage of the landing operations, which can be watched on their official website, YouTube channel, and Facebook page.
