Pakistan Hit With Massive Power Crisis, No Electricity In Major Cities

Pakistan has to suffer from a massive power crisis after the huge crisis of foodgrains. The country is going through the worst economic conditions.

Catastrophic cities in Pakistan lost power owing to a transmission line fault, causing a major power outage. 

“Several outages have been reported from various locations throughout the city. Imran Rana, K-spokesperson, Electric’s said on Twitter that the company is looking into the problem and would keep everyone updated. 

Pakistan’s Geo News claimed that some locations in Karachi and Lahore were without electricity, confirming the situation.

Since 7:30 am, there has been a nationwide power outage in Pakistan, tweeted Pakistani journalist Asad Ali Toor. According to Quetta Electric Supply Company, the two transmission lines from Guddu to Quetta tripped (QESCO). 

According to the firm, Quetta and 22 other Baloch districts lack electricity, as reported by Geo News. 

This month, Pakistan unveiled a new energy conservation strategy as the nation’s ailing economy continues to face several difficulties and its foreign exchange reserves have fallen to dangerously low levels.

Pakistan experienced a significant power outage earlier in October of last year that left large portions of the nation without energy for more than 12 hours, including the provincial capitals of Karachi and Lahore.
