OpenAI Offers ChatGPT For Companies To Integrate Into Their Apps

OpenAI is making its popular AI chatbot ‘ChatGPT’ available to other companies so that they can incorporate it into their own platforms for commercial purposes.

The company, which made ChatGPT accessible to everyone in November, is now providing paid access for companies and developers who wish to incorporate the program’s capacity to produce text and respond to inquiries into their own programs and products.

Clients will be able to integrate their apps using ChatGPT’s API, providing them access to the same GPT 3.5 model that OpenAI employs at a cost ten times lower than OpenAI’s current models.

According to a blog post published on Wednesday by San Francisco-based OpenAI, firms including Instacart Inc., Shopify Inc., and Snap Inc. currently include the ChatGPT API into their products.

While ChatGPT, which generates text, and DALL-E, an image generator, have garnered the most attention from the general public in the past year thanks to OpenAI, the business additionally requires to figure out how to boost revenue growth and pay for the astronomical cloud computing costs these enormous AI models accrue.

The company’s investment from Microsoft Corp. was increased by an estimated $10 billion in January thanks to negotiations led by OpenAI. In addition to selling a premium version to consumers, OpenAI opened a waitlist for businesses and developers that want to utilize ChatGPT in their own apps last month.

The AI research firm recognised that ChatGPT had gone down far too frequently lately and promised to give priority to customers and businesses that are running open-source applications on the platform.

“Over the previous two months, neither our own nor our users’ expectations of our uptime have been satisfied,” stated OpenAI. “Stability of production use-cases is now the top concern for our technical team.”

On a different occasion on Wednesday, OpenAI unveiled access to their transcription-friendly Whisper speech recognition algorithm.
