In the landmark selling off of EV, Ola’s co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal announced that their two variants of Scooter see the purchase of traded scooters worth Rs 600 crore on the opening day itself.
September 15 was the first day of the launch of two variants of the scooters, the Ola S1 and S1 Pro. Aggarwal stated that their company has put a halt to the process of purchasing. He informed that the purchase window will now re-open again on November 01, during the Diwali festivities.
Although, Ola Electric kick is riding high in the market with setting strong ground with its purchase mark in India. It should be noted that the E-Scooter is available for purchase only on the Ola App at the present and not on the website.
With respect to the deliveries for the E-Scooters, it will begin from the next month and the customers will be intimidated with the estimated tentative delivery dates within 72 hours of the purchase.
The pricing of S1 and S1 Pro ranges from Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,29,999 respectively. Once again Ola has created a buzz and sensation among scooter lovers across the country. The Unicorn start-up has been actively endorsing its product line across the country, especially in metropolitan cities where traffic is a pain.
Both scooters come with a full LED lighting package and a 7.0-inch touch display with navigation. The display works on an octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and supports WiFi, Bluetooth and 4G connectivity.
Aggarwal stated that Aatmanirbhar Bharat requires Aatmanirbhar women! Proud to share that the Ola Future Factory will be run entirely by women, 10,000+ at full scale! It’ll be the largest all-women factory in the world!! Slightly smiling face. He further added that the company will initially start with a 10 lakh annual production capacity and then scale it up to 20 lakh, in line with market demand, in the first phase. When fully completed, the plant is going to have an annual capacity of one crore units that is 15 per cent of the world’s entire total two-wheeler production.
