Who Will Be the Next Lok Sabha Speaker? Who Will Succeed JP Nadda? The Political Battle Unfolds

Yesterday all political analysts’ eyes were on the Modi 3.0 oath ceremony. Delhi was on high alert as there were many international guests came to witness this ceremony. Do you know some leaders were also on high alert? News is to grab the space on the cabinet, to fulfill demands, or to get what they deserve.

From the day of the result, it started being said in the media that TDP and JDU have now become kingmakers, TDP demanded the Speaker’s seat and it is not an easy task to satisfy Bihar CM Nitish Kumar as he can change sides anytime.

Now the oath ceremony took place successfully, 72 ministers including PM Modi took oath, out of which 7 ministers are women. There is no Muslim face in the cabinet, 65% of the ministers are from minority categories ST-SC-OBC. 60 seats of the ministry is with BJP only. High voltage parties JDU and TDP got 2 seats each.

But one clear picture of what I see is in this new government Nitish Kumar represents Bihar’s vision, “Now we want full respect”, he set new standards for the development of Bihar. Indian politics has played and developed on the laps of Bihar since history, it is dependent on Bihar even today and will remain so in the times to come. We cannot skip Bihar by making fun.

The TDP leader also made it clear that he is with the NDA but politics demands an “equal return policy”, hence these BJP leaders are also giving place to regional parties in the cabinet. At least that’s what it looks like right now.

But the real 2 big questions are Who will get the Lok Sabha Speaker Post? And After JP Nadda who can be the next BJP President?

Who will get the Lok Sabha Speaker Post?

It is being claimed in many reports that both TDP and JDU want the post of Speaker but BJP is in no mood to give this post.

TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu and Bihar’s CM Nitish Kumar both politicians, are eyeing the Speaker’s position as a safeguard and insurance. In recent years, we’ve seen many time where internal revolts have caused splits in ruling parties and even brought down governments. The anti-defection law, which comes into play in these situations, grants significant authority to the Speaker of the House. According to the law, the Speaker or Chairman has ultimate power in deciding whether members should be disqualified for defection.

Nitish Kumar has previously accused the BJP of attempting to dismantle his party. Given this context, political heavyweights like Naidu and Kumar see the Speaker’s role as a protective measure against potential uprisings and defections within their ranks.

Who Will Be Next BJP President After JP Nadda?

BJP President JP Nadda is a big name in the list of ministers taking oath in Modi 3.0. With his oath, the question is being raised that who will get the post of BJP President now?

Nadda served as BJP President from 2014-2019. But this time a big loss in vote share and seats in UP is a failure of JP Nadda. Now multiple names are popping up who can be the next BJP President. Vinod Tawd, the general secretary is one of the big names. But K Laxman, the chief of  BJP’s OBC Morcha from Telangana can be the other option as BJP is looking for a ground in the southern part of India.

Apart from these two Sunil Bansal from West Bengal can be the 3rd option. Smriti Irani is also in the race, she can be the first woman president of India.
