Nepal PM Prachanda To Visit To Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar Temple

Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is arriving in Madhya Pradesh for 2 days. He is scheduled to visit Mahakaleshwar temple & attend dinner with CM.

Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal “Prachanda” will begin a two-day tour of Madhya Pradesh on Friday, during which he is scheduled to visit the renowned Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain and a municipally-run solid waste management facility in Indore, according to officials.

The Nepalese prime minister is expected to arrive at the Indore airport at 10 a.m., after which he will pay a visit to the Mahakaleshwar temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas (main places of worship dedicated to Lord Shiva), at 11:15 a.m., they said.

After visiting the temple, he will return to Indore for a 4 p.m. conversation with Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel.

After the meeting, he will head to an Indore Municipal Corporation solid waste management facility, according to officials.

They added that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will organize a dinner in Prachanda’s honor in Indore at 7.30 p.m.

According to them, the Nepalese prime minister will pay a visit to the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys sites in an IT Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Indore on Saturday before departing for New Delhi later that day.

Thursday, Chouhan presided over a video-conference meeting with senior officials in Indore to discuss preparations for the travel of the 68-year-old Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-Maoist) leader who started office in December 2022.

According to sources, the prime minister instructed officials to make ample preparations for Prachanda’s parliamentary visit, during which cultural activities will also be organized.

Prachanda and a high-level delegation arrived in India on a four-day official visit on Wednesday afternoon. In December 2022, the 68-year-old leader of the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-Maoist) embarked on his first bilateral voyage abroad.

The Nepalese prime minister conferred with his Indian equivalent Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday.

Both leaders pledged to resolve the thorny boundary dispute in the spirit of friendship as the two sides signed a number of significant agreements, including one to increase New Delhi’s power imports from the neighboring country to 10,000 megawatts over the next decade.

Prime Minister Modi stated after the meeting that India will continue to endeavor to elevate its connection with Nepal to the Himalayas.

In his statement to the media, Modi stated that he and Prachanda made a number of crucial moves to make the collaboration between the two nations a “super hit” in the future.

On Thursday, the Nepalese prime minister also conferred with President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

Nepal is vital to India’s ultimate strategic objectives in the region, and the leaders of the two countries have frequently referred to the age-old “Roti-Beti” relationship, which implies cross-border marriages between citizens of the two nations.
