NEOM – Saudi Arabia’s Zero Carbon City: 170 km Long City For 90 Lakhs People

Saudi Arabia is going to build a Zero Carbon City under the name of NEOM project. There will be no roads or cars there. 95% of the landscape will be nature-friendly.

In the desert, Saudi Arabia plans to create a metropolis with a carbon footprint as small as Belgium. He plans to establish a “Zero Carbon City,” or carbon-free, entirely.

The ability for 90 lakh people to coexist in this eighth marvel is the most significant factor. In 2017, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made public the ambitious plan.

The NEOM Project of Saudi Arabia

In this location, the NEOM Project will come to life. A Saudi Public Investment Fund-affiliated business will construct an eighth wonder over a 26,500 sq km area. 

The Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba coasts will be where the NEOM project will be situated geographically. Initially, it was thought that artificial intelligence would run the entire city, including the flying taxis.

Mirror Line: No Roads, No Cars, Natural Lands

There won’t be a single route in this strip bridging various structures and settlements. There won’t be an automobile if there is no road. This entire area will be surrounded by nature and run entirely on renewable energy. 

Only nature will be permitted on 95% of its land. In contrast to traditionally populated cities, the infrastructure and means of mobility will be deployed in NEOM with the general public’s health and welfare as a top priority. 

Although it will only be 200 meters broad, the NEOM project will be vertical and 170 kilometers long. It will stand 500 meters above sea level. A mere 34 square kilometers will be able to house 90 lakh people in The Line. 

Only two 1,600-foot-tall towers will make up the tallest edifice ever built, which will be surrounded by 75 miles of walkable cliffs, mountains, and desert mountain valleys.
