Nation Celebrates Prakram Diwas On Netaji Jayanti At Samvidhan Sadan

Parakram Diwas, or Valor Day, is celebrated on January 23rd each year. It’s a special day dedicated to one of India’s greatest freedom fighters, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. This day was chosen because it is his birth anniversary.

Netaji was the founder of the Azad Hind Government, Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army), and Azad Hind Bank.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is a hero in India’s history. He was deeply involved in the fight for India’s independence from British rule. 

His famous slogan, “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom,” inspired many Indians to join the freedom struggle. His life and actions are an inspiration, especially to the youth in India. 

Netaji left his job in the Indian Administrative Service, which he was doing in England, to join the freedom struggle back home in India. 

He formed the Azad Hind Government, Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army), and Azad Hind Bank to strengthen the independence movement. He even got support from several other countries.

On Parakram Diwas, we remember and honor Netaji’s bravery and his contribution to India’s freedom. Schools and colleges often hold plays about Netaji’s life and teach students about his speeches and actions. This helps young people learn from his example and guides them in their lives.

This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Netaji at the Samvidhan Sadan (Old Parliament Building). He laid flowers as a mark of respect. 

President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also paid their respects. They highlighted Netaji’s unwavering commitment to India’s independence and how he continues to inspire us.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, and other leaders also paid their respects there.

In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also paid tribute to Netaji. He acknowledged Netaji’s leadership in the freedom struggle and his role as the leader of the Azad Hind Fauj.

The government of India declared January 23 as Parakram Diwas in 2021 to remember and honor Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary. 

This day reminds us of his courage and the sacrifices made for India’s independence. It encourages us to put India first and work towards a united, prosperous, and free country.
