1. L Murugan

Loganathan Murugan is an Indian politician. He is currently serving as Minister of State in the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

He has 21 criminal cases against him, the most of any minister in Narendra Modi’s cabinet. The criminal cases were filed against him in 2020. He was booked for violating Covid-19 guidelines in 2020. The 14 criminal cases are related to Covid-19 protocols. He also faces charges for rioting and causing a public nuisance.

2. Nisith Pramanik

Nisith Pramanik is a Union Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and Minister of State, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports from West Bengal. He faces a total of 13 criminal cases, including the attempt to murder, outraging the modesty of women, dacoity, theft, and possessing explosives and illegal weapons.

3. John Barla

John Barla is serving as the Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. He faces a total of 9 criminal cases, including the attempt to murder, theft and criminal intimidation. He has not been convicted in any of the cases.

4. Shantanu Thakur

Shantanu Thakur is serving as Union Minister of State, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. He has been accused of criminal intimidation in 6 separate cases. He also faces a case for outraging the modesty of women.

5. Pankaj Chaudhary

Pankaj Chaudhary has been elected to the Lok Sabha six times from the Maharajganj constituency of Uttar Pradesh as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He faces 5 criminal cases, including an attempt to murder, kidnapping, criminal intimidation and unduly influencing an election. There are 15 charges against him, out of which 6 are classified as “serious crimes”, and 9 as “other crimes”.
