Mysore Museum Installs Wrong And Unapproved Baahubali Wax Statue

A wax statue of Prabhas has sparked controversy and debate on social media. This statue is displayed in a museum in Mysore, and it has now become a subject of dispute.

Baahubali’s producer, Shobu Yarlagadda, has mentioned taking legal action against the creators of the statue and the museum.

Furthermore, Shobu claims that permission was not obtained from the makers of Baahubali before creating this wax statue.

On September 24, Shobu tweeted a picture of the statue and wrote, ‘No license has been taken for this statue. The statue was made without our permission. We had no information about it.

We will try to remove it as soon as possible.’ However Prabhas’ official fan page had shared an image of the statue.

Prabhas’ new statue has garnered significant attention on social media, with many people expressing their thoughts. Some have mentioned that the statue doesn’t quite resemble Prabhas.

  • One fan commented, ‘This statue looks more like Ram Charan.’
  • Another user said, ‘Apart from leaving Baahubali’s armor behind, he doesn’t resemble Prabhas in any way.’
  • A third person wrote, ‘His face looks like Australian cricketer David Warner.’

A fan supporting the statue commented, ‘This is Karnataka. You should be happy that they have installed a statue of a Telugu actor in Karnataka. No permission is needed for this. You should be happy for their love.’

Following the success of Baahubali in 2017, a wax statue of Prabhas was created and displayed in Madame Tussauds, Bangkok. Prabhas was one of the first South Indian stars to have his wax statue placed in Madame Tussauds Museum.

Baahubali is a film that has transcended beyond just being a Telugu or Tamil film; it has become an international phenomenon.

If there is any tampering or controversy surrounding this film, neither the Baahubali producers nor its worldwide fans are likely to accept it.

God knows how the Mysore museum made such a significant mistake. Did they not know that Prabhas played a role in Baahubali, or did they mix up characters from SS Rajamouli’s two films (Baahubali & RRR) to appease him?

Let’s assume, for a moment, that it doesn’t resemble Ram Charan. Even then, if you look at the picture of the statue, can you honestly say it matches Prabhas’ face from any angle? Even the hairstyle is completely different.

It’s hard to say whether a member of the Mysore museum made such a mistake or if the museum intentionally created controversy for some reason.
