Myntra Recruitment: Myntra To Hire 16,000 Employees For Festive Season

Last year Myntra (backed by Flipkart) had hired 11,000 workers. Again it’s going to hire 16,000 new workers to control work pressure during the festive seasons.

Myntra intends to employ 16,000 workers, according to sources. Both directly and indirectly, it is thought that the recruitments are conducted.

The hiring is thought to be taking place in order to absorb the increased workload anticipated as a result of the upcoming festival seasons. Dussehra and Diwali are two significant festivals that fall in the month of October.

Myntra Backed By Flipkart

Flipkart acquired Myntra in 2014, which mostly sells apparel and lifestyle goods. According to Myntra’s about page, the company sells goods from more than 500+ brands or companies.

Hiring From Tier-2 & Tier-3 Cities

According to sources, the Flipkart subsidiary company plans to engage close to 6,300 individuals to help with first- and middle-mile logistics.

The remaining 3000 personnel will be asked to help with last-mile shipments of logistics.

In accordance with the company’s announcement, it has also promised to hire about 2500 women employees. The business has also stated that it plans to hire 300 people with disabilities.

According to sources, the majority of the workers hired during the holiday season are anticipated to come from tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

Women and people with disabilities are required to help with tasks including sorting, grading, and packaging.

The two teams are anticipated to work in Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and other important centers.

Myntra Hires 27,000 People

According to estimates, this is the business’s largest holiday hiring since it employed 11, 000 people in 2021.

The 16,000 newly hired employees would reportedly be assigned to both direct and indirect responsibilities, with the most of them being hired for indirect positions.

The company’s head of human resources said that this year’s holiday season is being celebrated in grand style.

The chief of human resources claimed that due to COVID, festival celebrations were fairly low key the previous two years.

The CEO claimed that the online retailer is getting ready for orders from clients who plan to use the site this year.

Statement of Myntra Chief HR

Nupur Nagpal is the chief human resources officer (HRO) of Myntra. He stated,

“This year, the festivity is expected to be seen in all its glory, after nearly two years of being celebrated in close groups.

Our preparations are in full swing to cater to the high demand from our customers eagerly waiting to shop on Myntra for their festive needs.”

E-commerce reports claim that employers recruit workers because of labor demands. The majority of these workers are able to land a long-term position.
