Muslims Live Happily In India, Despite Worldwide Tyranny: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a recent interview with the Financial Times, spoke about the status of Muslims in India. He emphasized that Indian society does not discriminate against religious minorities, stating that Muslims in India live in harmony and prosperity. 

This statement comes amidst perceptions of persecution faced by Muslims in other parts of the world, including Taliban-led Afghanistan, Hamas-affected Palestine, Crises-filled Pakistan, and so on.

Addressing criticisms regarding the treatment of Muslims in India under his government’s rule, PM Modi maintained that such allegations overlook the commitment of Indian people to diversity and democracy. 

He pointed out that critics are free to express their opinions but also suggested that these views often underestimate the intelligence and values of Indian citizens.

PM Modi also referred to historical instances where outsiders underestimated India, recalling the predictions made by the British at the time of India’s independence in 1947. 

He noted that those predictions were proven wrong and expressed confidence that current doubts about his government would also be disproven in time.

Regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict, we can observe India’s approach under PM Modi’s leadership in the interview.. 

While India has not openly criticized Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, PM Modi highlighted India’s humanitarian efforts in Gaza and reiterated support for a two-state solution. 

PM Modi also mentioned his ongoing communication with leaders in the region, expressing India’s willingness to contribute to peace efforts.

Basically, the current government of India doesn’t care whether a beneficiary is a Hindu, Muslim, or belongs to any other religion. We know how the different countries in the world treat their minority communities. But when we talk about India, it’s quite different!

Muslims are in various fields across the country such as entertainment, sports, and politics. Bollywood, India’s film industry, has numerous celebrated Muslim actors, directors, and musicians. 

In sports, India has seen Muslim athletes like cricketer Mohammed Shami achieving national and international fame. The examples are endless across the nation!
