Mumbai -On Thursday, superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and his friend Arbaaz Merchant and fashion model Munmun Dhamecha were granted bail by the Mumbai High Court.

23-year-old Aryan Khan went through 25 days in jail at the Arthur Road prison in Mumbai. He was arrested on 2 October along with Arbaaz Merchant by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after the cruise ship raid.

The NCB charged Aryan for the consumption of narcotics and blamed him for WhatsApp talks that hinted he is a regular consumer and could be in connection with international drug dealers.

While Aryan’s legal advisor Satish Maneshinde said, the Whatsapp chat is very old and are, therefore, about football. The Session Court didn’t grant bail as the NCB attorney argued that Aryan is from an influential family; he might attempt to tamper with evidence if he is granted bail.

However, after two bail refusals, top legal counsellor Mukul Rohatgi contended Aryan Khan’s trial in the Bombay High Court. Whereas the NCB’s lawyer Anil Singh accused and argued that Aryan is not a first-time consumer in the High Court.

Former Attorney-General for India and SC lawyer Rohatgi counter-argued that his client was wrongly arrested and a fit case to bail. Rohatgi additionally let the court know that the case against Aryan was fabricated entirely on the basis of two-year-old WhatsApp chats that were irrelevant and had nothing to do with the cruise ship case.
