Motorola has expanded its budget-friendly smartphone lineup with the launch of the Moto G14. This launch coincides with the introduction of two other budget smartphones, Redmi Note 12 and Oppo A78, all targeting the affordable smartphone market.
Motorola already offers budget options like Moto E32 and Moto E13. The Moto G14 is the successor to the G13, which was released in January of this year.
The Moto G14 boasts a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate and stereo speakers supporting Dolby Atmos. The phone is lightweight at 177g and has a thickness of 7.99mm, made of acrylic glass.
Under the hood, it is powered by the UNISOC T616 Octa-Core Processor paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM. It provides 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 1TB.
The phone runs on Android 13, with an assured upgrade to Android 14, and Motorola promises up to 3 years of security updates.
The Moto G14 features a dual camera setup with a primary 50MP sensor and a dedicated 2MP macro vision camera. Motorola claims the Quad Pixel technology improves low-light sensitivity for sharper images. For selfies, there’s an 8MP front camera in a hole-punch cutout.
In terms of battery life, the Moto G14 comes with a 5000mAh battery supporting 20W Turbo Power charging. Other notable features include IP52 protection, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face recognition, dual SIM support, Motorola gestures, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
