1). Kiran Mazumdar Shaw

One of the first in the 70s, Ms. Shaw started her business by borrowing Rs 10,000 from her father. She started her firm Biocon, that began selling enzymes to home brewing companies in Australia. Today, as a billionaire entrepreneur, she is worth Rs. 350 crores.

2). Priya Paul

In uncharted territories, in 1968, with no prior experience, she took over reigns of her family hotel business post her father’s death. She turned around the Apeejay Surrendra Group chairman Surrendra Paul, The Park into a 400 % profit earner, on her instincts and guts to move ahead.

3). Vandana Luthra

In 1989, unheard of, this Delhi-born entrepreneur turned her interest in beauty, food, nutrition, and skincare into a roaring brand and business. She founded VLCC as a beauty service center, and they have since expanded into other areas like skincare and advanced dermatology. This strategy allows the company to provide quality services at affordable prices.

4). Falguni Nayar

The women to have made e-commerce a cakewalk, she has been adjudged has the brightest entrepreneur in the world. As the founder and CEO of The Nykaa, an e-commerce platform that provides beauty, wellness, and fashion products, Nayar has now become a billionaire.

5). Gazal Alagh

Mamaearth is an e-commerce company that sells baby, health, and hair care products. Alagh founded the company in 2016 along with her husband, Varun Alagh. 

6). Shradha Sharma

Shecreated a digital platform called YourStory, dedicated to startups and entrepreneurs. Shradha Sharma is the CEO of YourStory, having founded it in 2008. 

7). Upasana Taku

She is the co-founder and COO of MobiKwik. It is considered in great competition with Paytm as a preferred mobile wallet in India. She was recently featured in Fortune’s 40 under 40 lists, and she’s an inspiration for young entrepreneurs everywhere.

8). Vani Kola

She launched her own VC firm called Kalaari Capital in 2011. As a venture capitalist, she now works with first-time entrepreneurs to build strong, globally sized businesses. She also has a reputation for being very successful and helping young startups.

9). Neeru Sharma

She founded an e-commerce platform Infibeams, and has learned the ropes of the business seeing many losses. She has always been supported by her parents.

10). Suchi Mukherjee

 A peppy name, Limeroad is an Indian online fashion, and lifestyle store offering women’s clothing, shoes, beauty products, and more. After starting the company in 2012, Mukherjee added men’s and kid’s wear to her catalog and home and décor.
