Many parts of north India are witnessing severe heat waves and sun waves. States like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana are witnessing severe hot weather. The temperature during the day in these states may rise above 45 degrees Celsius. People are now eagerly waiting for the monsoon season and with this, the relief news is coming that monsoon will soon hit India. The monsoon will enter the country from Kerala. Kerala is expected to witness a monsoon at the end of May.
On Wednesday the India Meteorological Department predicted that Kerala will witness the monsoon on 31 May. The department in its bulletin also stated that Kerala will witness Monsoon with a model error of four days on either side. Monsoon has already hit some parts of Maldives, the Comorin Area, the South Arabian Sea, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

With monsoon come breedy mosquitoes which are very harmful and cause diseases. Keep your home and surroundings clean, do not put water in open storage to prevent mosquitoes. Apply insect control creams and sprays to stay safe.
