PM Modi’s Reply to Motion of Thanks in Lok Sabha Highlights BJP’s Anti-Corruption Stance

Today is the day 7^th of parliament session, Today PM Modi replied to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address in Lok Sabha.

When he was about to start his address, opposition leaders raised serious issues and the debate became heated. The opposition started demanding a discussion on NEET, the Election Commission, the caste census, Manipur’s issue, and Agniveer Yojana.

In his speech PM Modi said the people of India had given him this opportunity to serve the nation for the third time. The PM showed his gratitude to the new MPs.

PM Modi, “Several MPs expressed their views on the President’s address yesterday and earlier today. I would like to express my gratitude to the first-time MPs who expressed their views on the President’s address while following all the rules of the House.”

After that PM Modi greeted the ECI on a successful election procedure. Modi reiterated BJP stance on corruption.

“When we came to power in 2014, we had said that we will have zero tolerance towards corruption. Corruption had ravaged the country like termites. However, the countrymen have blessed us for our zero-tolerance approach to corruption.”

In his speech, Modi mentioned India’s growing status in the world. In the concluding note he highlighted the BJP government’s commitment to a better India, standing up against corruption and promoting development.

After the speech today, the Union Health Minister JP Nadda will also make a statement regarding the status of implementation of the recommendations or observations contained in the 143rd and 154th reports of the Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare on Demands for Grants related to MoHFW.

This speech proposal is coming a day after opposition leader Rahul Gandhi gave his speech on Monday. It was a heated debate, where he raised many issues like Hindutva, due to which RSS and BJP came out against him.
