27-Year Road Map: The Narendra Modi government is doing whatever possible to ensure they can get India to complete levels of self-reliance. It’s a proud moment for the country as the forward thinking leadership is damn serious about the ‘Atma Nirbhar’ aka Self-reliance roadmap laid out in the recently conducted Assocham programme, “India’s resilience: Atmanirbhar roadmap towards $5 trillion economy.”
Speaking on the occasion PM Modi said, that his government has been able to change the perception about India at the global level. He has termed the next 27 years as crucial to nation building and planning the future. Mr. Modi was address the foundation week of Assocham over a video conferencing session. On the event, Mr. Modi also awarded Mr. Tata with the ‘Assocham Enterprise of the Century Award’ who in turn thanked Mr. Modi’s for his able leadership and efforts to manage the Covid-19 crises that faced a mammoth population of India.
“You have been the carrier of leadership in this tough period and for this, we should be much obliged to you,” Tata said. “If we all stand together and follow what you have said and what you have shown, we will have a situation where the world will look at us and say this Prime Minister said it could happen and he made it happen,” he said.
The week-long programme would be witnessing the participation of various speakers including Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union minister for commerce and industry Piyush Goyal, Union agriculture and farmers welfare minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Union minister for road, transports and highways Nitin Gadkari and Union communications and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
