Missile Attacks Escalate Iran-Pakistan Conflict, India Addresses Terrorism

Iran and Pakistan, two neighboring countries, have recently been in a tense situation. It started when Iran accused Pakistan of supporting a terrorist group named Jaish al-Adl. This group, which Iran considers a terrorist group, has attacked Iran several times, killing Iranian soldiers and civilians.

In 2019, Iran’s military leader, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, warned Pakistan that Iran might take action against them because of this support.

He blamed Pakistan’s army and intelligence agency, the ISI, for sheltering these terrorists. Iran’s then-president, Hassan Rouhani, also talked to Pakistan’s prime minister, asking for strict action against these anti-Iran groups.

Five years later, under a new president, Ebrahim Raisi, Iran acted. They used missiles to destroy the bases of Jaish al-Adl in Pakistan. Iran said these bases were used for attacks against them.

But, Pakistan was upset about this. They said the strikes killed two children and called it a violation of their sovereignty, warning Iran of serious consequences.

In response, Pakistan also did counter airstrikes in Iran. They targeted Baloch separatist camps, claiming these groups were against Pakistan. This increased the tension between Iran and Pakistan.

In the meantime, other countries like the United States and China are watching this situation. The US condemned Iran’s actions, saying Iran shouldn’t be attacking its neighbors. China asked both Pakistan and Iran to calm down and not make things worse.

Meanwhile, our country India, commented on this situation. India has a firm stance against terrorism and understands why countries should act in self-defense.

But India sees this as a matter between Iran and Pakistan. They haven’t taken sides but have emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. India always stands against terrorism.

As of now, Iran and Pakistan relations conflict because Iran claims Pakistan supports a group attacking Iran, but Pakistan denies this.

Both countries have now taken military action against each other. India, while concerned, views it as a matter for Iran and Pakistan to resolve, focusing on its own policy against terrorism.
