Microsoft’s AI-powered Copilot App Now Available On Android, iOS

Microsoft has recently made a big move in the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). They’ve launched a new app called Copilot for Android phones, and now, it’s also available for Apple’s iOS and iPadOS.

This is a significant step because, before this, if you wanted to use Microsoft’s AI features on your phone, you had to use the Bing mobile app. But now, with this new dedicated Copilot app, things have become much simpler and more direct.

The Copilot app is quite similar to ChatGPT, an AI program many of us are familiar with. It can chat, create images using something called DALL-E 3, and even help write emails and documents.

One of the best parts is that it uses the latest GPT-4 model from OpenAI for free. Usually, to use GPT-4 on ChatGPT, you’d have to pay, but Copilot offers this for free.

Earlier in the year, Microsoft began integrating AI into its Bing search engine. This was their first major step into using AI for everyday tasks. But they didn’t stop there.

They changed the name from Bing Chat to Copilot and made it a separate experience, not just part of the search engine. They even created a special website for it, copilot.microsoft.com, to make it stand out like ChatGPT.

The launch of the Copilot app on mobile devices like Android and iOS is a logical next step. They want to make AI more accessible to everyone, everywhere.

While there’s no word yet on when an iOS version will be available, iPhone and iPad users can still use the Bing app to access Copilot features for now.

Microsoft’s Copilot app is more than just a chat assistant. It’s powered by the newest AI models, GPT-4 and DALL·E 3, and it can do amazing things like giving fast, complex answers and creating stunning visuals from simple text.

Microsoft has also teamed up with Suno, a company that creates music using AI, to add more features to Copilot. And they’re planning to add even more new features soon.

Microsoft’s new Copilot app is a big step in making advanced AI technology easily available to everyone, right on their smartphones, and it’s a sign of how tech companies are trying to make AI a significant part of our daily lives.
