Microsoft Teams Chat Finder Feature To Get Fix For All Users

The video conferencing platform Microsoft Teams is going to solve one of its most annoying issues of finding a chat message. Afterwards, chat finding features will be more user-friendly.

A new update to Microsoft Teams could make it much simpler to find a specific chat message or thread in the near future.

Using a fix made public by the video conferencing service, users will be able to find whole chat conversation threads by clicking on search message results.

The change makes it so that users now see the entire thread containing the desired message when they search for a chat message in Microsoft Teams and click on a message match, as opposed to just a single line of text as was the case in the past.

The company stated that this fix will now give users “full context” of the conversation surrounding the message result, reducing any potential misunderstandings or confusion in a thread on the official Microsoft 365 roadmap.

The general availability date for the upgrade is October 2022, so users might not have to wait too long. The update is still described as being in development.

The tool will be accessible to all Microsoft Teams users on Mac and desktop platforms as soon as it is available.

The information is the most recent update from the business as it works to improve Microsoft Teams’ usability and intuitiveness for users around the world.

This includes a recent change that should stop unwanted Microsoft Teams chats from outside users. Team users will now also be able to accept or reject the invitation when they receive a new one-on-one chat from an outside source. 

According to Microsoft, this modification should also enable blocking of external users at any time, which disables access to availability and incoming messages.

For Microsoft Teams Mobile users, the platform is also going to introduce so-called “intelligent translation,” which will enable Android and iOS users to translate texts in a foreign language quickly.

Another real-time translation method has recently been added to Microsoft Teams, giving users access to a vast network of expert interpreters who can dial into meetings upon request. 

Users of Microsoft Teams can select between the original audio timeinel and the interpreter’s translation from a drop-down menu once a session has started.
