Microsoft Announces ChatGPT on Bing, Azure AI In Microsoft Build 2023

Microsoft Build 2023 showcased upcoming features of Windows 11, ChatGPT on Bing, AI copilot, Developer Community courses, and more in the event.

Microsoft Build 2023, the event held in Seattle, featured a series of significant announcements from Microsoft. 

The keynote address by CEO Satya Nadella unveiled a range of advancements in Microsoft’s technology portfolio, along with previews of –

  • upcoming features of Windows 11
  • ChatGPT integrated Bing
  • revolutionary AI copilot
  • Azure AI and more.

Microsoft introduced ChatGPT on Bing, integrating the popular language model into the Bing search engine. 

With this integration, ChatGPT can provide more up-to-date responses sourced from the internet, including references. 

ChatGPT on Bing will be available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers, enabling users to receive timely and well-informed answers directly within chat conversations.

Windows Copilot, a central AI assistance feature, was unveiled for Windows 11, making it the first PC platform to offer such comprehensive AI support. 

Copilot can help users rewrite, summarize, and explain content, facilitating efficient actions and task completion. 

This powerful AI assistance will be available for preview in June, allowing users to experience its capabilities firsthand.

In line with the advancements in artificial intelligence, Microsoft announced several training courses aimed at empowering the developer community with a better understanding of AI innovations. 

These courses will equip developers with the knowledge and skills needed to leverage the latest AI technologies effectively.

Azure AI, Microsoft’s cloud-based AI service, received significant upgrades to enhance its usability and efficiency. 

The Azure AI service now includes Azure AI Studio, a comprehensive toolset for developing AI models, as well as the Provisioned Throughput Model, which improves performance in high-throughput scenarios. 

Additionally, plugins for integrating external data sources were introduced, expanding the capabilities of Azure AI. 

The Content Safety feature, capable of detecting harmful content in images and text, further strengthens the platform’s security and integrity.

Microsoft Build 2023 showcased Microsoft’s commitment to advancing AI technology across its ecosystem. 

The integration of ChatGPT into Bing, the introduction of Windows Copilot, and the enhancements to Azure AI reflect Microsoft’s dedication to providing innovative solutions and empowering developers and users alike.
