These startups are encouraged to apply for the Digital Health Innovation Challenge. The last date to apply for the challenge is March 30.
Sigal Atzmon, Founder and CEO OF Medix Global said, “India is one of our main strategic markets. India is a tech-driven nation and provides tech services to the whole world. Now, the government commitment is there as well with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to supporting digital healthcare.”
Covid-19 pandemic has served as a major wake-up call for Indian and global healthcare sector, Atzmon noted. She further complimented India’s efforts to tackle the pandemic underlining country’s low mortality rates as compared to other nations. She said, “Social distancing, wearing masks and lockdowns were effective, but the focus was also on how to treat the disease. India started to implement treatments faster than many other countries, and therefore, they have actually moved forward much faster in how to treat COVID-19 rather than just avoiding it.”
Medix Global is a UK based solutions provider which was founded in 2006. It is spread across 90 countries with over six million clients. Medix has global offices in UK, India, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Australia.

Winning startup would receive $10,000 funding. Furthermore, three months of mentorship by Medix’s expert team would be given to three runner-up startups.
