Maruti Suzuki Recalls 9,925 Units Of WagonR, Celerio & Ignis

Maruti Suzuki has recalled 9,925 units of its 3 models – WagonR, Celerio & Ignis for inspection & replacement of the faulty parts at free of cost as precaution & safety.

In accordance with a regulatory filing by the corporation, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is recalling 9,925 units of its 3 models, the Wagon R, Celerio, and Ignis, to address a potential flaw in the rear brake assembly pin.

Vehicles that fall under this category are produced between 3rd August and 1st September, 2022.

“The rear brake assembly pin (the “Part”) is thought to have a flaw that could occasionally break and result in an odd noise. 

In the long run, there could be an effect on brake performance “In a BSE filing, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. made a statement.

The business has opted to recall the suspicious vehicles for examination and free replacement of the defective parts out of concern for customer safety and extreme care, it noted.

The business stated that “necessary maintenance, if required, will be conducted following inspection” and added that “authorized workshops shall be approaching the clients for attending to their automobiles.”

Because of persistent customer demand and an improving supply scenario, Maruti Suzuki is increasing its capital investment for this fiscal year to a record 7,000 crore, 40% more than its initial plans, according to company officials.

The largest automaker in the nation will now spend more on physical assets in FY23 than its rivals Tata Motors but also Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), who have each announced capex of 6,000 crore for the fiscal. 

To regain lost market share, the automaker has increased its product offensive in the quickly expanding sports utility vehicle (SUV) segment.

This fiscal year, passenger vehicle sales are anticipated to surpass the peak of 3.38 million units set in FY19, according to Maruti Suzuki chairman R C Bhargava.
