Biggest corporate leaders including Anand Mahindra, Harsh Goenka, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw & N Chandrasekaran have expressed their support towards Agnipath scheme.
A lot of well-known corporate leaders from different Indian corporations spoke out in favor of the center’s Agnipath Scheme.
Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra Group, and Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, the chair of Biocon Ltd., both expressed support for the program in tweets.
Harsh Goenka of RPG Group and N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, have also expressed their favor towards the Agnipath Scheme.
Anand Mahindra, the Indian business tycoon, expressed his sadness over the violence related to the Agnipath recruitment plan on Monday.
He supported the Agnipath scheme and also promised to hire “Agniveers” in his company.
Anand Mahindra tweeted,
“Saddened by the violence around the ‘Agnipath’ program. When the scheme was mooted last year, I stated- and I repeat, that the discipline and skills ‘Agniveers’ gain will make them eminently employable.
The Mahindra Group welcomes the opportunity to recruit such trained, capable young people.”
The chairperson of the RPG group, Harsh Goenka quoted the Mahindra’s Tweet with the caption – “welcomed the opportunity to employ Agniveers.”
Harsh Goenka also conveyed optimism that more companies would hire Agniveers.
The founder & chairperson of Biocon, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, expressed her support for the Agnipath Scheme in an interview and said that the youth will definitely benefit from it.
She said in the interview,
“We find ex-servicemen to be very very good in various job profiles such as administration, engineering and project management.”
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran also expressed his support for Agnipath scheme. He said,
“Agnipath is not just a great opportunity for the youth to serve the nation’s defense forces but it will also make available a very disciplined and trained youth for the industry, including the Tata Group.”
We at the Tata group recognise the potential of the Agniveers and welcome the opportunity this represents.”
Several other corporate leaders came together to support Agnipath Scheme along with Mahindra & Shaw (Biocon).
They assured people to give certain jobs in their respective companies after the retirement of Agniveers.
Many people are also claiming that Agnipath candidates will surely thank the government after a couple of years. And the trouble-makers are going to regret a lot.
