Mahindra Launches New Thar Model Ahead Of Auto Expo 2023

The craze of Mahindra Thar is already high. Thus the company has launched a new variant of offroader Thar, to encash the same. The price starts from ₹9.99 lakh.

The well-known off-roader Thar gets a new range from the automobile manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra. 

According to a statement released by M&M on January 9, the firm hopes to make the line more affordable for a wider spectrum of customers by setting the beginning price at Rs 9.99 lakh.

Two days prior to the Auto Expo 2023, the corporation will skip it together with other well-known brands including Skoda, Volkswagen, Nissan, and luxury automakers like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi. 

Greater Noida in the state of Uttar Pradesh will play host to the premier auto exhibition in India from January 11 to 18.

The new Thar range was engineered by Mahindra Company and includes significant improvements. They have improved the vehicle by providing the new RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) variations.

The new Thar line comes with improved functionality in the Four Wheel Drive (4WD) models and is offered in two RWD options.

The RWD diesel engine has a new D117 CRDe engine that generates 117 BHP and 300 Nm of torque (87.2 kW@3500 rpm) with a manual transmission.

According to the press release, the petrol version has an automatic transmission and a mStallion 150 TGDi engine with 150 BHP and 320 Nm torque (112 kW@5000 rpm).

The SUV’s 4WD variant has a sophisticated electronic brake locking differential installed. Bosch has assisted in the development of the brake’s technology. 

Both a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission and a 6-speed manual transmission are available with these engines.

The new Thar collection is available in Everest White and Blazing Bronze. The automaker has also unveiled additional accessory packs, as well as four distinct exterior and interior aesthetic options.
