LPG Cylinder Prices Cut By ₹171.50, Check Latest Prices Across India

The petroleum and oil marketing companies have revised the prices of LPG gas cylinders across the country, which will be effected from Monday.

Oil marketing companies have adjusted the cost of LPG gas cylinders for commercial use. As of May 1, 2023, the cost of 19 KG commercial LPG gas cylinders has been reduced by ₹171.50. However, the cost of domestic LPG cylinders has not changed. 

The revised retail price in the capital of India for a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will be ₹1856.50 starting today, per sources reported by ANI. 

Kolkata prices Rs. 1,960.50 for a 19-kg commercial cylinder, compared to Mumbai’s Rs. 1,808.50. A 19-kg LPG cylinder costs ₹ 2,021.50 in Chennai as of right now, while in Noida 14.2 kilogram cylinder costs ₹1,100.50. 

The previous prices for a 19 kilogram LPG cylinder were ₹ 2,028 in Delhi, ₹ 2,132 in Kolkata, ₹ 1,980 in Mumbai, and ₹ 2,192.50 in Chennai, as stated by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). 

On March 1, this year, the price of domestic LPG cylinders increased by Rs. 50 per unit, while the price of commercial LPG cylinders increased by Rs. 350.50 per unit.

A 19 kilogram LPG cylinder will now cost $1,856.50 at retail in Delhi, and $1,808 at retail in Mumbai, down from $1,980. 

The price of a commercial LPG cylinder in Kolkata has decreased from $2,132.00 to $1,960.50. It will now cost $2,021 in Chennai as opposed to $2,192 previously.

The cost of commercial gas is more prone to change in value than home LPG cylinders. On the opening day of the fiscal year 2024, the price of commercial gas cylinders was reduced by 92 last month. 

Domestic LPG cylinder prices increased by 50 cents per unit in March, while commercial LPG cylinder prices increased by 350.50 cents per unit. It was raised by $25 in January.

Domestic LPG cylinder prices increased four times and decreased three times in 2022.

Prices for commercial cylinders were decreased by 91.50 on September 1 of last year and by 36 in August. The prices decreased by ₹8.5 per unit in the month of July.
