Lokesh Kanagaraj To Take 6 Months Social Media Break For This Movie

Lokesh Kanagaraj, the well-known director behind the hit film Leo, has decided to take a break from social media. He made this decision public in a recent interview. The break will last for at least six months.

The main reason he’s stepping away from social media is to give his full attention to his new project with Rajinikanth, known as Thalaivar 171. He wants to focus on the pre-production work of this film.

According to Lokesh, the film is expected to start filming in April 2024. He thanked his audience, fans, and critics for making his latest film Leo a big success.

He said that the positive response to Leo was overwhelming, and he wanted to channel this energy into his new project. This isn’t new for him; he took a similar social media break back in 2022 before announcing Leo.

In the same interview, Lokesh also addressed some criticisms of his film Leo. He thanked journalists and said they have played a significant role in his career. He ignored the hate spread by some people on YouTube, saying he doesn’t feel connected to them.

The Thalapathy Vijay-starrer hit film Leo has been getting a lot of praise, especially for its action scenes. One scene that stands out is the one with a Hyena.

This part of the film was so crucial that the makers spent Rs 15 crore just to get it right. The money mainly went into creating high-quality VFX, making the hyena look almost real.

The opening scene of Leo was special because of this very hyena. It gripped the audience right from the start, making everyone sit on the edge of their seats.

The hero, Parthiban, played by Vijay, uses his physical strength and quick thinking to capture the hyena, which is on a rampage. This scene wouldn’t have been so impactful without the excellent VFX work.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has been praised for both the sleek action scenes and for getting an amazing performance out of Vijay. Even Satees Kumar, another well-known director, spoke highly of it.

He said when he first heard that CGI would be used, he was worried. But seeing the final result, he was blown away by how original it looked.
