List of Awards & Trophies In The Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022

Finally the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar has finished with lots of controversies. Argentina won the finals trophy by beating the French team.

Argentina has lifted the World Cup trophy by winning the Qatar World Cup 2022. It is the first time that a South American country has won this title in a long period of time.

Argentina won the World Cup for the first time in 1986 when it defeated Germany to win its second title in three tournaments.

Diego Maradona was the leader of that team, widely considered Argentina’s greatest player.

Argentina has been close to winning the World Cup twice, in 1990 and 2014. Both times, Argentina was beaten by Germany.

Golden Ball: Messi Became Tournament’s Best Player

Messi, Argentina’s most successful goal scorer in World Cup history, broke multiple records during the goalfest final.

In the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the second-highest goal scorer for La Albiceleste scored seven goals.

The Golden Ball was presented to the 35-year old for his outstanding performance at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

Messi has scored 26 goals for Argentina at major international tournaments. He is the only person to have won the Golden Ball twice (2014 & 2022).

Golden Boot: Mbappe Beats Messi To Clinch

France’s six-goal thriller ended with a memorable comeback by Mbappe, who scored a match-saving goal for Les Bleus.

With his goal-scoring feat against Argentina, Mbappe was the star striker for the two-time World Champions.

Mbappe is second to score a hat trick in a World Cup final, after Geoff Hurst from England (1966 vs Germany). Mbappe, 23, scored 8 goals to become the tournament’s top scorer at the Qatar World Cup.

Golden Glove: Martinez Became Best Goalkeeper

Fernandez’s super-stopper Emiliano Martnez was named the tournament’s best goalkeeper.
