LinkedIn Reveals The List Of Top 25 Startups In India For 2022

The professional social network LinkedIn has released the list of top 25 startups in India for 2022. Notably, 13 out of 25 startups are based in Bengaluru.

The top 25 startups in India that have persevered in an unstable market climate and are planning to develop in 2022 were revealed by LinkedIn, the biggest online professional network in the world.

LinkedIn used platform statistics from July 2021 to June 2022 in four areas to create this year’s list:

  • Employee growth,
  • Jobseeker interest,
  • Member engagement within the business and among its staff,
  • and how successfully these firms attracted talent from its flagship.

The list’s top item this year is the CRED unified payment interface (No. 1). With a $6.4 billion valuation, this young firm kept its top spot on LinkedIn’s ranking of the top startups, rising from No. 3 in 2021 to No. 1 in 2022.

Along with becoming well-known for its eccentric advertisements over the past 2 years, CRED is also setting new standards for employee wellbeing by providing its staff with benefits including ElderCare, egg freezing, and one-on-one help for mental wellness.

The next highest ranking companies on the list are Groww (No. 3), an online investment platform that offers an unbiased evaluation of various investment prospects through stocks and mutual funds.

UpGrad (No. 2), one of India’s largest online higher education companies that collates vast upskilling potentials for professionals and college students.

New entrants to the list this year include the e-grocery company Zepto (ranked No. 4), the full-stack car-buying platform Spinny (ranked No. 7), and the insurtech startup Ditto Insurance (ranked No. 12).

These online platforms are improving consumer access to financial, mobility, and necessities in India.

By enabling users to live a mindful and healthy lifestyle, the fitness platform Ultrahuman (ranked No. 19) and the organic food marketplace Living Food (ranked No. 20) also made their debuts on this year’s list.

Bengaluru confirms its status as the “Silicon Valley of India” by hosting 13 of the top 25 startups.

In fact, from August 1, 2021, to July 31, 2022, 58% of all positions advertised by these startups on LinkedIn were headquartered in Bengaluru.
