Let’s Rewrite The History Without Any Distortion: HM Amit Shah

Home Minister Amit Shah has said that there are so many distortions in Indian history & we need to correct it. 

Amit Shah, the union home minister, has urged historians to rewrite history in the context of India and has reassured them that the government will support their work.

Speaking in Delhi at an Assam government event, Shah stated that as a history student, he frequently hears that history has been misrepresented and presented incorrectly. Perhaps that is accurate, but we now need to change it, Shah added.

Shah questioned who was preventing the three-day commemoration of the 400th birth anniversary of the Ahom General Lachit Barphukan from the 17th century from appropriately and gloriously presenting history. Every year, on November 24, Lachit Diwas is observed in his honor.

The Home Minister further added, “I ask all students and university professors present to get over this narrative that history is not correct and try and research on 30 dynasties who governed for over 150 years anywhere in the country and 300 great individuals who strived for independence.”

At the Vigyan Bhavan, Shah gave the historians and students in attendance his assurance that the Center will support their work. 

He continued, “Come forward, conduct study, and rewrite history; this is how we can motivate the next generation.” 

The notion that a false story is being spread will cease to exist once enough has been published, according to Shah.

He continued by saying that it is now necessary to review history for the benefit of the populace as a whole. 

The Home Minister acknowledged Lachit’s contribution to stopping Mughal expansion and praised him for defeating them in the war of Sariaghat despite their poor health.

On those occasions, the minister also debuted a documentary about Lachit Barphukan. 

The divide between the Northeast and the rest of India has been closed, he continued, thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

The government’s efforts have resulted in peace being established in the Northeast.

Amit Shah requested Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, to have the books on Lachit Barphukan translated into ten other languages so that the nation’s citizens might learn about the brilliance of the guy.
