5 Least Educated Indian Politicians

Rabri Devi Yadav

Rabri Devi Yadav is an Indian politician who served three terms as the Chief Minister of Bihar between 1997 to 2005. She is currently a member of the Legislative Council of Bihar.

She married Lalu Prasad Yadav at the age of 14 in 1973. She has done schooling only upto the 8th standard. Her official candidate affidavit revealed she’s a “non-matric”.

Uma Bharti

Uma Bharti is a former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. She served as the Minister of Drinking Water & Sanitation from 2017 to 2019. In 2014, she became the Cabinet Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.

She has done schooling only upto the 6th standard. Her official candidate affidavit revealed that she received education till the 6th standard.

Tejashwi Yadav

Tejashwi Yadav is the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and Lalu Yadav’s son. At the age of 26, he became the youngest to assume office as a deputy Chief Minister of an Indian state.

However, he had only studied till the 9th standard and then dropped out to pursue a career in cricket.

Anant Geete

Anant Geete is a former Union Cabinet Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Sector Enterprises. In the early 2000s, he also held some important posts like Union Cabinet Minister of Power as well as Union Minister of State. It is believed that Geete is only the 10th pass.

Smriti Irani

Smriti Irani is currently serving as the Minister of Women and Child Development. Earlier, she had also served as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Minister of Human Resource Development.

Earlier, she made headlines for her educational qualification. It is believed that she is only 12th pass. She enrolled in the School of Open Learning at the University of Delhi, but could not complete her education.
