‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ Is Back: Ekta Kapoor Announces Re-Run Of The Show

Ekta Kapoor has announced the re-run of Smriti Irani’s popular show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’. Kapoor announced the news on her Instagram account. She dropped the old promo of the show on her Instagram.

While announcing the news on Instagram, she wrote, “Is promo ki ek jhalak dekh kar hi saari puraani yaadein tazaa ho gayi. Today, as I look back, I recall every memory, every moment that made this show a most loved one! Usi pyaar ke saath judiye is safar se dobaara. Budhvaar se, harr roz, shaam 5 baje, sirf StarPlus par.” In the promo clip, fans can see Tulsi greeting viewers with a ‘Namaste’ as she welcomes them inside the Virani mansion.

The show will get aired again from 16th February 2022. It will be telecasted every day at 5 pm. Now, the audience can enjoy this show again.

This show was one of the most popular and highly successful shows on Indian television screens. The show first aired in July 2000. The show went off-air after long eight years. The show completed over 1800 episodes. It was the first Indian show to complete 1000 episodes. The show also made a place in Limca Book of Records. The show started a trend of saas-bahu soaps on Indian television.

Smriti Irani gained huge popularity because of this show. The show was produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. Amar Upadhyay and Smriti Irani played the lead roles. The show also comprised many popular actors like Ronit Roy, Gautami Kapoor, Karishma Tanna, Mandira Bedi, Jaya Bhattacharya, Ketki Dave, Apara Mehta, Kamalika Guha, Aman Verma, Hiten Tejwani, Mouni Roy, and Sumeet Sachdev.

Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay played the lead character of Tulsi and Mihir respectively.  However, Upadhyay was later replaced by Ronit Roy as Mihir as he quit the show.
