Kolkata To Host Gita Path Event With 1.2 Lakh Attendees On Christmas Eve

In Kolkata, a special event called the Gita Path is being organized. This event is about reading the Bhagavad Gita, the worldwide sacred scripture. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has been invited to start this event. He has confirmed that he will be there.

It’s planned to happen on December 24th at Brigade Parade Ground. The Bhagavad Gita is known for its deep spiritual teachings and is a conversation between Prince Arjuna and Lord Krishna.

A huge number of people, more than 1,20,000, are expected to join this Gita reading. It’s a big number and shows how important this event is for many people.

This event is significant in West Bengal. Bengal has a long history with Hindu traditions, and the Bhagavad Gita is a very important part of these traditions. The event organizers are also planning to include music by some famous Bengali artists.

Coming to politics, this event is happening just a few months before important elections in India, the Lok Sabha elections. When the Prime Minister joins such a big religious event, it can influence people’s thoughts.

Some might see it as him supporting Hindu traditions, which can attract more people to his party. However, the opposition parties might not be happy with this. They could say that the Prime Minister is using a religious event for political gain.

Over 1.2 lakh people might join, showing the event’s huge scale. It’s important for Bengal’s cultural and spiritual heritage. Politically, this event might have a big impact as it comes just before the national elections, possibly influencing the public’s view of the ruling party.
