The spectacular action movie KGF: Chapter 2 directed by Prashanth Neel is a hit all over the country.
KGF: Chapter 1, the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster film, has been hotly awaited since its announcement, and box office results reveal that the new film, director Prashanth Neel’s second in eight years with star Yash, has outperformed expectations.
KGF: Chapter 2’s production house, Hombale Films, stated that the film’s first day grossed a phenomenal Rs 134.5 crore.
The Hindi version of the film has made ‘53.95 crores, making it the greatest record first-day collection for any Hindi film, beating War as well as Thugs of Hindostan.
S. R. Prabhu, the Tamilnadu distributor of KGF: Chapter 2 said that they aren’t surprised at the movie’s success. As they were already confident before they bought the film rights. They had already seen the audiences’ love during the first part of the film.
Prabhu also said that the Chapter 2 has surpassed the lifetime box office receipts of the first film in just one day. He’s very sure that this will also be true in other languages.
The number of Covid cases has dropped, the rules about wearing masks have been relaxed, and there have been more early morning shows. Thus more people are going to watch their favorite movies.
Manoj Desai who is the executive director of Mumbai’s G7 Multiplex & Maratha Mandir Cinema, portrayed a bright vision-
“For the weekend, about 1,000 seats have already been sold across both of our screens. The movie has done exceptionally well, and the excellent reviews have benefited it as well.”
KGF 2 is undeniably a huge hit, but it hasn’t been able to overcome Beast due to the significant disparity in screen count.
Overall, Beast received around 800 screens, whereas KGF 2 only received under 250 screens.
