Elections in 2022: On Tuesday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal declared that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will challenge the state Assembly elections in 2022. Kejriwal promised to deliver clean politics in the province, adding that “A few people will ask what we are going to bring around UP. We’ll bring clean politics which other parties couldn’t provide,” added Kejriwal.
On Twitter, Kejriwal told that the progress of the state was hampered by corrupt leaders and their dirty politics. “Political groups in UP betrayed individuals; the state politics is in dire need of excellent intent,” he added.
“People will ask why we are contesting the UP polls where already there are numerous political parties. Many parties have served Uttar Pradesh yet they need just filled their pockets,” the AAP convenor stated.
Kejriwal added that folks in the region are presently asking why they do not have free power and mohalla clinics like people in Delhi. “Why students in Kanpur do must come to Delhi for instruction, for what reason does somebody have to bring their parents for treatment to Delhi from Gorakhpur,” he further added.
On Monday, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav also announced that his party will form an alliance with other smaller parties to contest for Assembly elections in 2022. Addressing media when asked regarding the party alliance for beating BJP in 2022 elections, Yadav stated, “Samajwadi Party will partner with smaller parties as our experience with big parties has not been good.”
“We are confident that in 2022 Samajwadi party will come to power in UP state with full majority,” added Yadav who had lost the 2017 elections.
BJP came to power in the 2017 Assembly polls with the majority and are hoping to win by majority again in 2022 polls.
