Kashmir Files is one of the strongest buzzes around. Either people are in complete awe of the creation or are hell bent on pointing figures on the craft.
The movie was released this month on 11 and soon after the release, Vivek Agnihotri’s movie created a huge storm in box office numbers.
After a relatively slow start, the film went on to grow tremendously especially after being declared tax free in the states of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
Now the latest state to join the list is Goa as the government announced that the movie will go tax-free in the coming days given the highly valued content of the movie. The movie stars Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, and Mithun Chaktaborty and is based on the lives of Kashmiri Pandits.
The movie has also been in news for being inspired by true events which means that the atrocities against a particular community were directly related in the movie. It started with an opening of Rs 3.55 crore and since then has been performing brilliantly all over the country.
Following the footsteps of two states, now the Goa CM and BJP leader Pramod Sawant also announced about making the movie tax-free in the state. “The Kashmir Files movie will be declared tax-free in Goa, says former CM & BJP leader Pramod Sawant after watching the film based on the life of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 in J&K,” said Sawant while talking to ANI.
