The Karnataka government has offered a 50% rebate on all pending traffic violation fines, across the state. The offer is valid till 11st February.
Good news for Karnataka commuters: the state’s traffic police department decided to reduce outstanding traffic infraction fines by 50% on Thursday.
Residents who have unpaid traffic tickets can now make a single payment for half the cost after discount. The deal is available through February 11.

People in Bengaluru can pay their fines in person at their neighborhood traffic police stations or online at https://bangaloretrafficpolice.gov.in, while people outside of Bengaluru can do so at their local KarnatakaOne centers or police stations that are closest to them.
During a meeting with Justice B Veerappa, the executive chairman of the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, last week, the state government reached its decision.
In order to ensure that everyone has access to justice, officials at the meeting decided to “urge the Transport Department to take steps as soon as possible and report compliance.”
Around 530 crore in fines are owed by violators throughout Karnataka to the traffic police, of which 500 crore must come from Bengaluru, the state capital, according to a senior IPS official.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Thursday that Rs 100 crore will be given to the Karnataka Border Areas Development Authority before 31st march and that there is an urgent need to start development in the fields of education, industry, infrastructure, and for encouraging Kannada.

The appropriate authorities were given the go-ahead by the CM to create action plans on these aspects.
