Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Pregnancy Bible’ hurts religious sentiments of a community, police complaint filed

Kareena Kapoor has shared her pregnancy journey that consists of do’s and dont’s during and after the nine months of pregnancy through a book that was recently launched. Her book is titled ‘Pregnancy Bible’, which did not go well with people of Christian faith, and hence soon after its release, the book is surrounded by controversy. 

A Christian group has reportedly expressed objection over the title of the book saying that it has hurt their religious sentiments written by the actress. Following this, a complaint was registered in a police station in Maharashtra against the ‘Good Newwz’ actress along with two others responsible for co-authoring and publishing the book. 

The complaint was filed in Shivaji Nagar police station by the president of the Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh Ashish Shinde. Another person involved in the writing process is Aditi Shah Bhimjani and the book written by the two was published by Juggernaut Books. Shinde expressed concerns about the use of the word ‘Bible’ in the title.

However, the inspector in charge of Shivaji Nagar Sainath Thombre said, “We have received the complaint but no case can be registered here as the incident has not happened here (in Beed). I have advised him to file a complaint in Mumbai.”

Kapoor, who recently gave birth to her second child, launched the book on July 9 calling it her third child. The book had made waves earlier this year when the first look of the book was released on social media. The actress had then said that this book represents the journey of her adapting to motherhood physically and mentally. 

On the work front, the 40-year-old actor will be next seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ which also stars Amir Khan in the lead role. Post this, she will also be seen in Karan Johar’s dream project ‘Takht’
