Actress Kangana Ranaut is set to portray the role of Air Force Pilot Tejas Gill in the upcoming film “Tejas.” The movie, produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, is scheduled to release on October 20, 2023.
The film “Tejas” revolves around the inspiring journey of Tejas Gill, highlighting the dedication and challenges faced by Indian Air Force pilots in defending the nation. Kangana Ranaut shared some scenes from the film, generating excitement among her fans.
The released stills depict Kangana in an Air Force uniform, showcasing her in action-packed scenes. In one scene, she is seen stepping out of the Tejas, a multi-role combat aircraft, while another shows her engaged in an action sequence with a burning jeep in the background. Kangana emphasized the film’s significance as India’s first aerial action movie.
The production of “Tejas” has been in the works since 2020, with its release delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kangana expressed her enthusiasm for playing a soldier, stating that being in uniform would be one of the highlights of her life.
Producer Ronnie Screwvala compared the film to “Uri: The Surgical Strike” in terms of scale, although it is not a sequel.
Kangana Ranaut has a lot going on in her career. She will be directing a movie called “Emergency” where she will play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She also has a production called “Tiku Weds Sheru” which is doing well on the OTT platform.
