Kai Cenat’s PS5 Giveaway Fan Meet Ends in Riots, 65 People Arrested

A planned PS5 giveaway event hosted by US Gamer, YouTube influencer and Twitch streamer – Kai Cenat turned chaotic in New York City’s Union Square Park.

Thousands of fans gathered for the event, hoping to receive free PlayStation 5 consoles and other gaming items.
However, the situation escalated into violence, with individuals assaulting police officers, damaging cars, and causing mayhem.

Kai Cenat is a popular influencer with millions of followers on Instagram, YouTube, and Twitch. He is known for uploading prank videos and sharing his daily life on YouTube.

He recently announced a giveaway during a livestream on Twitch, where he will be giving away gifts like PlayStation 5, keyboards, microphones, gaming chairs, headphones, and computers.

Cenat has been recognized as one of Rolling Stone’s 20 Most Influential Creators and has won the Streamer of the Year award in 2022 and 2023. He also broke the record for most Twitch subscribers in March.

Kai Cenat, a 21-year-old internet sensation with a massive online following, arrived at the event in a party bus, unaware of the turmoil that awaited him. The NYPD had to escort him away for his safety.

The event continued to spiral out of control, leading to a “full-on riot.” The police arrested a total of 65 people, including Cenat and 30 minors, and seven individuals were injured.
