JioBharat 4G Keypad Phone Listed On Amazon At Just ₹999

Jio has released a new phone called the JioBharat 4G phone, which is now available for purchase on Amazon. This phone is aimed at providing affordable internet access to people who still use feature phones and rely on 2G networks.

The JioBharat 4G phone has a small 1.77-inch display, a basic 0.3MP camera with LED flash, and a 1000mAh battery. It can support up to 128GB of external storage using a microSD card and comes in a black color. The phone also supports 23 different languages to cater to users all over India.

The phone was developed in partnership with Karbonn and features branding from both Jio and Karbonn. It is priced at Rs 999 and offers accessible 4G internet connectivity and basic features.

Jio has also launched affordable internet plans starting at Rs. 123, which include unlimited voice calls, 14GB of data, and access to Jio apps for streaming content. There is also a yearly plan available for Rs. 1234, which includes unlimited calls and 168GB of data.

Interested buyers can purchase the JioBharat 4G phone on Amazon or at Reliance Digital stores. The availability of the phone in other retail outlets has not been confirmed yet.

At the recent annual general meeting of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of the company, announced that Jio Platforms is planning to lead the way in advancing 6G capabilities on a global scale. Ambani stated that Jio will be the first company in the world to develop the next-generation network.

Reliance Jio had also announced the launch of Jio Smart Home Services yesterday (28th August), which aims to transform how we control our home appliances. This puts Jio’s tech in direct competition with tech giants like Google and Apple.

The Jio Smart Home Services include smart home devices, a set-top box for entertainment, and a smart home app. These devices are designed to work seamlessly with JioFiber and Jio AirFiber services.

The set-top box allows access to TV channels, streaming content, gaming, and various digital applications.

The Jio Smart Home app features an eRemote for the set-top box and allows users to use their smartphones as gamepads. The set-top box supports JioCinema and JioTV+, as well as other popular streaming apps.

According to Jio Chairman Akash Ambani, this initiative will revolutionize home management and living experiences in India.

He also mentioned that over 80% of data consumption in India happens indoors, highlighting the need for better home connectivity and entertainment options.

The company is also introducing Jio AirFiber, which is a broadband connectivity service that uses 5G technology to provide high-speed internet.
