Currently, JioGamesCloud enables customers with viable internet connections to stream games directly to any device that is compatible without having to install, download, or update the games.

JioGames stated in a tweet that users of smartphones, web browsers, and Jio Set Top Box can access the gaming platform.

Victor Vran, Shadow Tactics, Beholder, Saints Row, Redout, Deliver Us The Moon, and Kingdom Come Deliverance are just a few of the more than 50 titles available on JioGamesCloud.

JioGamesCloud claims to provide its service in a reliable 20 Mbps wired/wireless connection for a fluid experience across AAA titles and hyper casual games.

On a computer, you can play the games on the cloud platform using simple peripherals like keyboards, mouse, or controllers.

Gaming controllers paired to Jio Set Top Boxes would enable playing games on television, while Android phone users will be required to install the JioGames app from the Play Store.

Currently available for free to all customers, the beta version also enables users to sign in and connect to the service via cellular connections other than Jio’s.

According to sources, Jio has integrated the cloud gaming platform GeForce Now with Nvidia to introduce JioGamesCloud.

The change occurs at a time when the nation’s gambling laws are continuously being tightened.

According to recent reports, a panel of state finance ministers working on the issue has recommended levying an unified GST of 28% on online gaming, regardless of classifications like games of skill and games of chance, after months of dialogues on the goods and services tax (GST) to be imposed on various gaming segments.

Creating a national framework for online gaming platforms is another project the Center is working on.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) met with 40 online gaming companies earlier this year to examine the issue, including Dream11, Nazara Technologies, and Mobile Premier League (MPL).

According to a FICCI-EY analysis, there were 390 million Indian online gamers in 2021 compared to 360 million in 2020, an increase of 8%.

According to a different KPMG report, the Covid-19 epidemic lockdowns caused the number of users to increase to around 400 Mn by mid-2020 from about 250 Mn in 2018, making India the second-largest base of online gamers behind China in 2021.

The next significant advancement in the rapidly expanding gaming industry is predicted to be cloud gaming.
