Jet Airways Ready to Fly Again As Its 2nd Aviation Innings

After a break of almost two and a half years, Jet Airways is prepared to begin its second inning in India. There will be the latest planes with new staff.

Having stated that, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has already given the airline the operational authorization (DGCA). 

Additionally, it trained the first group of cabin personnel last week at the Gurugram center.

New Management of Jet Airways

Jet Airways will initially start operating on internal routes under the leadership of CEO Sanjiv Kapoor until the airline has the minimum of 20 aircraft needed to travel internationally. 

Kapoor has extensive experience in the aviation sector, having held executive positions at Vistara and SpiceJet among other airlines. 

Interestingly enough, Jet will only lease brand-new airplanes from foreign lessors and will not use even a single plane from its older fleet.

Jet Airways Starts Hiring

The airline has unveiled a new job website to hire staff, including pilots for Airbus A320, Boeing 737NG, and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. 

The planes that the airline would deploy during its upcoming run in India are clearly indicated by this pilot recruitment effort.

According to reports, Jet Airways has informed the Ministry of Civil Aviation that by the end of 2024, it plans to add 20 more aircraft. 

Furthermore, VK Singh, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation, stated in the Parliament that it wants to have 150 aircraft in its fleet by 2030.

For those who are unaware, Imli Candy was a delectable treat that the airline offered on its flights and was adored by all, especially kids.

One Of India’s Most Prolific Airlines

Prior to ceasing operations in April 2019, Jet Airways was one of India’s most successful airlines. 

It was the only airline, save Air India, that operated flights to the U. S. using wide-bodied Boeing aircraft, and Naresh Goyal served as its chairman. 

Jet Airways had the most seats available for foreign flights of any airline operating out of India until it ceased operations.
