Current Chairman Greg Barclay has informed ICC directors, including Cricket Australia’s Chair Mike Baird, that he will not be seeking a third term. Barclay’s decision aligns with Shah’s intention to step into the role when Barclay’s tenure ends in November. With the support of cricket boards from England and Australia, Shah has garnered the necessary backing to secure the position.

Srinivasan, and Shashank Manohar. Shah’s term as BCCI Secretary is set to continue for another year before he enters a mandatory cooling-off period in October 2025, as per the BCCI constitution.
