Japanese Show Takeshi’s Castle Returns With Bhuvan Bam’s Indian Twist

Takeshi’s Castle, the iconic Japanese game show, is making a big return, but this time with an Indian twist. The show’s new version will be available for streaming on Prime Video in India starting November 2nd.

The Indian reboot will feature eight fun-filled episodes. It retains all the original elements that made it a classic, including the zany and action-packed challenges.

Bhuvan Bam, a popular actor and content creator known for his alter ego ‘Titu Mama,’ will be the voice behind the show’s commentary. For those who remember the original, the commentary was a big part of the show’s charm.

Bhuvan, as Titu Mama, is also seen paying tribute to Javed Jaffrey, the seasoned commentator of the original series. If you’re wondering about the tone of the show, the trailer assures us that it will be as hilarious and exciting as ever.

Bhuvan says that Takeshi’s Castle has been a huge part of his growing-up years and that he’s thrilled to be part of the reboot.

The show is part of Prime Video’s festive line-up for the Great Indian Festival 2023. This line-up will feature several other original series, blockbuster movies in multiple languages, and some special offers.

For instance, the first 1000 customers renting titles on the Prime Video store every day will get special discounts. There are also ‘Diwali Special Offers,’ with up to 50% discounts across several Prime Video channels.
