Japan Former PM – Shinzo Abe Apparently Shot, Critical Condition

Shinzo Abe was attacked when he was giving a speech in Nara. The attacker shot Shinzo twice from behind, as a result he fell to the ground bleeding.

Shinzo Abe, a former Japanese prime minister, was shot on Friday. He was attacked when he was delivering a speech in Nara. Nara is the capital city of Nara Prefecture in Japan.

Shinzo Abe was hit twice from behind by the assailant, who then collapsed on the ground with blood pouring from his body. The full incident’s video has also come to light.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tweeted

Following the shooting news of Shinzo Abe, the prime minister tweeted, “Very heartbroken by the attack on my dear friend Shinzo Abe. Our prayers are with him, his family and the people of Japan.”

White House Statement

Following the assault on Shinzo Abe, the White House’s remark has also gained attention. The White House stated,

“We are closely following the assault on former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. We stand with his family and the Japanese citizens.”

Shinzo Abe’s Situation

After the attack, Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, was not breathing. While being airlifted, his heartbeat also fell silent. 

Following the report of the attack, Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and other cabinet members have returned to Tokyo.

Shinzo Abe is in the hospital and is in serious condition. Shinzo Abe also experienced a heart attack after being shot, according to local media sources.

Who Is The Attacker of Shinzo Abe?

The accused who assaulted & shot former PM Shinzo Abe has been identified & arrested, the Japan Times reported.

The attacker, 41-year-old Yamagami Tetsuya, is a former member of the Japanese Marine Corps. After firing a shot at Shinzo Abe, the assailant made an effort to flee. However, he was stopped by the security guards that were stationed there.
