Jaane Jaan: Jaideep Ahlawat, Kareena, Vijay Varma Starrer OTT Premiere

The OTT premiere of the film “Jaane Jaan,” starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Kareena Kapoor, and Vijay Varma has been shared by Netflix. The teaser for the film has been released, giving viewers a glimpse into the dark and twisted world of the thriller.

Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film is an adaptation of the Japanese novel ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’ and a kind of remake of the 2008 Japanese movie ‘Suspect X.’

The novel also served as inspiration for the 2019 Tamil movie “Kolaigaran.” The Japanese story was also adapted by two Korean and Chinese movies.

Kareena Kapoor plays the role of a divorced, single mother who tries to hide the murder of her estranged husband in the company of her neighbor, all while being investigated by the police.

Kareena Kapoor expressed her excitement about working on the film, stating that working with Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma has transformed her and added freshness to her character. 

The film is set to premiere on Netflix on September 21, which also happens to be Kareena Kapoor’s birthday.

The film is a crime thriller based on the critically acclaimed Japanese novel “Devotion of Suspect X” by Keigo Higashino. 

Sujoy Ghosh, known for his successful films like “Kahaani” and “Badla,” had been waiting to adapt this novel for a long time. 

He described it as the most amazing love story he had ever read and expressed his gratitude to Jaideep, Kareena, and Vijay for bringing the story to life on screen.

The novel follows a battle of wits between a mathematics genius and his university batchmate, who is investigating a murder case involving the former’s neighbor. 

“Jaane Jaan” is produced by 12th Street Entertainment, Northern Lights Films, Kross Pictures, and Balaji Motion Pictures. The filmmakers hope that the audience will love it as much as they do.
