ISRO To Launch PSLV C54 From Satish Dhawan Space Centre

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch the PSLV C54 (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) on 26th November to send 9 Indian satellites into space orbit.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) moved on to its next mission, PSLV-C54/ EOS-06, after assisting in India’s first-ever private rocket launch.

The launch is set for 11.56 a.m. on Saturday, November 26th, from India’s spaceport Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota (SDSC SHAR), off the coast of Andhra Pradesh.

A Dhruva Space payload (DSOD-1U) was also part of the previous PSLV mission, C53, along with one from another Indian company Dirgantara as well as several foreign satellites.

The successful test of DSOD-1U set the path for the Thybolt-1 and Thybolt-2 satellites to fly on PSLV C54.

Registration for the launch view gallery at the Sriharikota facility will open at 10 a.m. on November 20.

According to a PTI report, the OceanSat-3 and eight nano satellites would launch aboard India’s polar satellite launch vehicle (PSLV).

OceanSat-3 is the third flight in the effort to observe the ocean.

BhutanSat is one of the passenger satellites, and the other two are from Indian businesses Pixxel (1) and Dhruva Space (2).

Thybolt-1 and Thybolt-2 are the names of the two Dhruva Space spacecraft that will launch into low-Earth orbit.

The previous PSLV mission, C53, also had a Dhruva Space payload (DSOD-1U), as well as one from another Indian firm Digantara and other foreign satellites.

The successful DSOD-1U test prepared the path for the Thybolt-1 and Thybolt-2 satellites to be launched aboard PSLV C54.

Registration for seeing the launch directly from the launch observation gallery at the Sriharikota facility will begin on November 20 at 10 a.m.
